Description
The Organ is a spectacular 700 foot high sandstone fin at Courthouse Towers in Arches National Park, Utah. The red rock monoliths of Courthouse Towers were formed by erosion and weathering of the Entrada Sandstone Formation. This high desert (arid) climate is common in the mountains and plateaus of the southwestern United States. I photographed it in winter (December) with snow.
